1937 RAC Isle of Man road race event poster. The race was won by Prince Bira in his ERA. 25" x 40.2", LM Race report: Starting from pole position Mays took the lead in his works ERA but was soon passed by Bira who started to pull away on the rainy track. Mays was suffering with brake problems. For 20 laps Fairfield (works ERA) and Luigi Villoresi (Maserati 6CM) fought for second place before the latter retired with broken fuel line. The works ERAs took over the lead when Bira made a pitstop for fuel but the Siamese showed his driving skills fighting back in the heavy rain to retake the lead on lap 36, heading home a ERA 1-2-3-4-5, 6th being the Swiss newcomer Emanuel de Graffenried with a Maserati 6CM.
